Vegan Chapati Flatbread

You’ve probably got all the basic ingredients needed to make these easy flatbreads at home!


  • Add the flour and salt to a large mixing bowl. Slowly add the water until you can form a smooth dough. (You may not need all the water!)

  • Knead the dough with your hands, leave in the bowl, cover with a clean tea towel and leave for half an hour.

  • Divide the dough in two equal parts and roll them out on a floured surface. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and a pinch of salt. Lightly roll the seeds into the dough.

  • Heat a flat pan until super hot, place one chapati after another onto the hot pan and cook for around 30 seconds on each side.
