Jack O’ Lantern Biscuits

Get these spooky biscuits in your oven asap!



  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy then beat in the eggs.

  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour and spices together, gradually add the butter mixture until a dough forms. Shape into a ball, wrap in clingfilm and place in the fridge for 1 hour.

  • Preheat the oven to 180C, on a clean work surface dusted with flour, roll out the dough and cut out pumpkin shapes. Place the biscuits on to a baking tray lined with baking paper and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown and leave to cool.


  • Combine the sugar and water together over a medium heat, once the sugar dissolves reduce the heat to low and add the pumpkin puree, milk, spices and salt. Mix together over a low heat for 2 minutes, remove from the heat and leave to cool.

  • Spoon the syrup on to half of the biscuits, sandwich a biscuit on top and leave to set.
