It doesn’t get much better than crispy tofu marinated in a sweet and savoury sesame sauce!
Preheat the oven to 200C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Cube the tofu, add to a large zip lock bag or bowl a long with the sesame oil, soy sauce and cornstarch. Close the bag and shake gently to coat. Arrange the tofu evenly on the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
In a large pan, add the soy sauce, garlic, syrup, vinegar and hot sauce. Stir and bring to a simmer over a medium heat. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water together until smooth, pour into the pan, stir constantly until the sauce thickens then turn off the heat. Stir in the sesame oil.
When the tofu is ready, add to the sauce and stir to coat. Serve with rice, green onions and sesame seeds.
