Chocolate Coconut Doughnuts

These homemade fluffy chocolate doughnuts with a sprinkle of coconut look and taste like they’ve come straight from a professional bakery!

  • Preheat the oven to 180C, sift the flour and cacao powder into a mixing bowl then stir in the sugar, baking soda and salt.

  • Pour in the almond milk, apple puree, coconut oil, vinegar and vanilla and whisk to remove lumps.

  • Grease two doughnut trays, scoop the mixture into a piping bag and pipe the batter evenly amongst the doughnut rings. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until baked through. Leave to cool.

  • Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together, dip the doughnuts into the melted chocolate, sprinkle with desiccated coconut and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Pop in the fridge until set.
